Normally rugby players just wear normal football boot colorways from major brands like Adidas, Nike and Puma, but now the market is changing…

Seeing rugby players in football boot colorways may soon be changing. Adidas were previously the only major sports brand that had a special rugby boot colorway on a football boot. However, the rugby boot market may be changing as Adidas and Puma have launched brand new colorways just for rugby on football boots. Unfortunately, these boots are not available in football versions. This is disappointing for football boot fans as I myself think they both look fantastic, and the Puma Powercat colorway may be my favorite one to date. Unless you are playing on soft ground all the time and don’t mind playing football with your boots saying RUGBY on them, then be my guest!

Will Nike make a special rugby colorway? Or is this just a small one off move for Adidas and Puma? Looks like we will have to wait and see how this pans out.
