England World Cup 2010 Away Kit Unveiled

That’s right, the shirt that you can see above is the new Umbro England Away shirt, part of the kit that the team will wear at the World Cup in South Africa this summer. But what’s also clear is that it’s been revealed in a way you might not expect. Last night, at the Paris Olympia, Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan unveiled the shirt to an unexpecting audience of French rock fans during his band’s encore. Sounds unbelievable doesn’t it? Here’s a video of the event as it happened, in case you don’t believe us!

So what did Kasabian think about getting involved with Umbro and unveiling the new Away shirt in this way? Keep your eyes here on the Umbro blog, as we’ll have an interview with Tom about the whole experience up here very soon. We’ll also be telling you exactly why we decided to unveil the kit in this way – with an English band, abroad – later today. In the meantime, let us know what you think of it right here by commenting!
