Germany 2010 World Cup Adidas Away Jersey

The DFB have officially unveiled Germany’s new Adidas Away Kit for the 2010 World Cup.

The new Away Kit is inspired by Germany’s 7-0 win where they wore a black jersey against the White Rovers Club. This was the first un-official international match that took place on December 12, 1898, before the DFB was founded. The match was played in Paris and is known as “Ur-Match”.

The new kit features eleven gold stripes symbolizing team spirit. On the back neckline there is gold lettering with “Deutscher Fußball-Bund” (“German Football Association” in English). The new German kit’s badge features three golden stars in recognition of Germany’s 1954, 1974 and 1990 FIFA World Cup triumphs.

Germany will wear their new Away Kit against Argentina on the 3rd of March.

It will also be in stores on the 3rd of March.
