Adidas Techfit 2010 World Cup Jerseys
The Adidas Techfit 2010 World Cup Jerseys have already been released for a couple of months, but the team at SER want to tell you what our thoughts and opinions are on this new product from Adidas.
The first major thing that shocked us about Adidas’ new jerseys for the World Cup is that players now have the option to wear two different jerseys. If you caught the Spain vs Argentina match on November 14, 2009, you may have noticed that the majority of players on the Spain and Argentinian squads were wearing the normal Formotion jerseys. Only a couple of players opted for the Techfit Jersey, like David Villa. The next thing that struck us was how tight the Techfit jerseys were. They look exactly the same as adidas techfit baselayers and when you look at the technical aspects they are very similar. It seems like Adidas are starting to follow in the footsteps of Rugby Jerseys.
This has made us think. Will Techfit jerseys be released for Adidas sponsered teams for the 10/11 season? Will Nike release Nike Pro Jerseys? Why do most players opt not to wear the techfit jerseys?
Recently SER showed you all the new 2010 MLS Adidas Jerseys and to our surprise their were no Techfit jerseys mentioned or released. The adidas jerseys for the 10/11 Japanese league teams also did not release techfit jerseys. We are pretty sure that this may be a new technology Adidas are testing at the World Cup and may start using in the 11/12 seasons for all their teams.
There have recently been quite a lot of leaked images of the Nike jerseys for the 2010 World Cup. One of them which really surprised us all at SER was Portugal’s Nike Pro Combat Jersey. We are not sure whether it is fake or real but it did give us quite a shock. We would not be surprised to see Nike come out with the Nike Pro Jerseys to compete with Adidas’ Techfit Jerseys in the 2010 World Cup.
We believe most players prefer not to wear the Techfit jerseys as they may not feel as comfortable wearing such a tight jersey and would rather just wear a baselayer underneath.
Stay posted to SER to keep up with all the latest product reviews and unreleased equipment as we have alot of new exciting things to come.
