New 2010 Nike Elite Football Boot Range

It looks like Nike have a reply to Adidas’ super light F50 Adizero’s. Adidas may be on the verge of creating and selling the lightest boot in the world to date, but Nike has a little something up their sleeve to counter with…

Nike are set to release 4 new boots due right before the World Cup. They are the Total 90 Laser III Elite, the CTR 360 Elite, the Tiempo Air Legend III Elite and the Mercurial Vapor Superfly II. Right now you are probably thinking to yourself, ‘Haven’t these boots already all been released except for the new Superfly?’ If you thought that you would be 50% correct because, yes they have been released but there are the new ‘Elite’ versions which will be coming out. These boots will now have carbon fiber sole plates, making them stronger and even lighter. This means that while Nike may not have the lightest boot on the market going into the World Cup, they will definitely have the lightest range of football boots.

Besides the carbon fiber sole plate on the Total 90 Laser III Elite, it looks like they have changed the upper. It does not have any stitching and looks more like a Mercurial Vapor upper. Besides that there appear to be no changes and still feature the 5 pods and microfins. The CTR 360 Elite and the Tiempo Air Legend III Elite look unchanged as well. The New Mercurial Vapor Superfly II looks relatively the same besides the 2 new rounded studs on each boot and a new graphic. So far it looks like the release date for the Nike Elite boots will be on the 8th and 9th of May 2010.

The 2010 World Cup is bringing in more new football boots and technologies then ever before and we will keep you updated on it all!

Keep posted to SER to get all the latest news and updates from all the new products that are due to release around the World Cup.

  1. good stuff.. where do you guys get the pictures, though? also, way to keep ahead of the curb with these breaking stories

  2. Hey Sai,

Thanks for visiting and contacting SER! Thanks for the compliment on the unreleased news articles and images! We want to give true soccer fanatics all the latest on upcoming and unreleased cleats, so this means a lot to us! We find the images from a variety of sources, and have regular contributors send some in as well. However, we’ve now been contacted by companies demanding we stop posting images, thus the lack of images on these preview posts. They will be sending us more cleats to review now that we’ve stopped posting unreleased images. However, we’d like for you to see them, so you can visit Siamboots.com for unreleased images, including the Adidas Adizero and the Nike Elite Range.

We’ve seen your previous comments and feel like you know your stuff! If you’d like to help contribute to SER, we’d love to have the extra help! You can send me a review you’ve conducted about previous cleats which you’ve worn, and we’ll go from there.

If you have anymore questions, please let me know! Thanks for visiting SER and hopefully you continue to do so in the new year (we’ll have lots of new reviews and updates!).

    SER Team
