SER Preview: Adidas Predator X

Adidas Predator X
Very private and close to the chest describe Adidas preparation for the release of their latest boot, with only a handful of leaked images getting out. SER is the first to bring an in-depth preview on the Adidas Predator X.
The latest boot to come from the world’s number one collection, the Adidas Predator, is the Adidas Predator X. This is a new and improved version of the Adidas Predator Powerswerve. The boot was first called the Trustrike, but Adidas have confirmed they’ve replaced that name for X honoring this as the 10th Adidas Predator cleat. This boot retains the same classic Predator technology to give you amazing power, swerve and control to help you take your game to the next level. This really is a classic range from Adidas that never stops being so popular. High technology and durability help to make this a constant favorite with serious players. In fact, top Adidas players have been testing the cleats out for the past couple of weeks, namely Raul and Steven Gerrard, and you can expect Gerrard (the Powerhouse) to sport the new Predator’s in a heated clash between rivals, Manchester United and Liverpool on October 25th. Here is SER’s preview of the Adidas Predator X, and check back on October 26th for the official release information, and also look for a possible SER review of the new cleats in the upcoming weeks.

The three key areas of the new Adidas Predator X are Power that is obtained through the Powerspine,Swerve that comes from the Predator elements of the new boot and Control that is a result of Optifit.

Power- The Powerspine technology in the Adidas Predator X football boots has evolved from the fingersave system in Adidas GK gloves and minimizes the energy loss during a shot by reducing the “kicking flex”in the forefoot area of the boot. The extra energy that is generated is then directly transferred into the football and kept away from the delicate ligaments and fragile bones such as metatarsal’s and this enables more power in the shots. The Powerspine technology gives 7% more power to the Adidas Predator X than was created by the current Predator model the PowerSwerve according to independent tests.

Swerve- Improved Swerve characteristics of the Adidas Predator X football boot are produced because of the rubber-silicon mix and its optimized position on the boot. The ultimate swerve, control and accuracy of the Adidas Predator X football boot are obtained by an increased contact time with the ball resulting in a high friction rate on an increased contact area of the boot. The optimized positioning of the Predator element has been based on the feedback of professional players around the world. The Predator element of the boot was tested with two of the very best footballs on the market today and performed equally as well in wet and dry conditions.

Control- The Control in the new Adidas Predator X football boot is because of Optifit which is a new last of the boot that brings the upper materials in all areas as close as possible to the foot. This then produces a snug and almost barefoot natural feel for the player. The player then has the feeling of the boot being ” a second skin” without any gaps and this is another requirement that has come from professional football at the very highest level.

  1. [...] giving you a preview about the much-anticipated release of the cleats a week ago, SER now has the official information [...]

  2. i highly like these cleats i havent had the opportunity to try them out but the but seems like it will get the job done. prior to this line of predators, these boots have just had way too much on the boot. for example the tongue, its looks great but it may get on the wya once in a while and i just think that by them taking off the tongue, they have created one of the best boots ever made.
