Although not yet competing with Adidas or Nike, Sawol is causing waves across the Midwest. What is Sawol you ask? Probably the newest soccer brand in the United States.

Sawol, (pronounced say wahl) is a new soccer company based in Vermont.  They offer several apparel products and the Classic Match Ball.  For now, clothing items are limited, however they are fast increasing that number, and are hoping to increase in visibility and national recognition as well. Sawol is promising quality, however let’s let them do the promising. This comes straight from their site, SawolSoccer.com-

Sawol, LLC was founded in Vermont, USA in 2008. We are a soccer brand/company. The name Sawol is an acronymn: soccer, a way of life. We recognize the need for an American soccer brand that is dedicated completely 100% to soccer. Too many soccer companies have lost their commitment by diversifying in multiple sports.  We are committed completely to the beautiful game- soccer. The Sawol team believes that soccer is much more than merely a sport or a pastime. Soccer is a universal language that unites all cultures. Soccer is truly a “way of life.” The Sawol team is dedicated to enhancing the soccer culture in the United States and around the World. We are proud to have a part in this American pastime.

The first product the Vermont company sent us was their trademark, White Long-Sleeve T. Here is SER’s review of the SAWOL White Long Sleeve T-

• Style/Looks-From first sight, the T is quite plain, yet stylish. It has the brand logo displayed across the chest, and besides that, the front is blank. On the back, in bold letters is Soccer, a Way of Life. And besides that, it is yet again blank. However the shirt does show promise, and we here at SER were not embarrassed at all to wear the product.
• Feel/Comfort- The shirt is 100% cotton, and we first thought it would be scratchy and uncomfortable, however it turned out to be lightweight and just fell across the skin. It is heavy enough to wear in an April evening, and light enough to wear in a spring Calle game. The best aspect of the shirt by far!
• Price- Selling for $14.95 USD at the company’s website, the product is well priced. It’s not a steal, however it’s not outrageous either. A well placed price for a well made product.
