SER MVP of the Week: Aaron Lennon

Player Performance:

Aaron Lennon has won the first SER MVP of the Week, with two goals and a number of good plays which helped contribute to Tottenham’s 4-0 thrasing of Middlesbrough. Lennon, who had played well in the Carling Cup Final last week, was given a starting spot against Middlesbrough on Wednesday and did not disappoint. In the 39th minute, Robbie Keane had the ball and slipped the ball through defender Huth’s legs, to Lennon, who pounced on the oppurtunity and calmly slotted the ball home past Jones. It was an easy chance, however Lennon did well to stay calm and finish off the chance. With a number of spectacular runs throughout the half, Lennon wasn’t done yet, and in the 79th minute, Keane once again supplied the perfect throughball to Lennon, who had a tricky chip shot over the keeper to finish off his brace and clinch the MVP of the Week.
