Reebok Valde Pro
Reebok have recently unleashed upon the soccer world, the Valde Pro. The Valde Pro is Reebok’s latest release, with the cleat hitting stores across the globe in January. This cleat is Reebok’s ticket to huge sales, as they’ve slid into the shadows of Nike, Puma, and Adidas over the past couple years. The team here at SER will try getting a pair of the soccer cleats for a proper review, in the meantime, here is Soccer Equipment Reviews exclusive preview on the Reebok Valde Pro soccer cleat.
Power Unit
When first designing the cleat, Reebok stated that in normal soccer cleats, players’ feet would deform. They said that this occured because the flexibility of cleats did not deter this deformation at all. To fix this ‘problem’, Reebok developed the Power Unit, which helped make a more rigid, and to them, safe cleat. The Power Unit is not only a protection component, but a sustaining power one as well. The Power Unit’s rigidity also works to add power, because of its stiffer surface, the foot can only flex in one direction. Thus, power is added due to Reebok’s Power Unit. The Power Unit is comprised of two parts, the Soleplate and the Upper. 
-Sole Plate
The Valde Pro has a reinforced, carbon fiber, vertebrae system inside the forefoot of the cleat to allow the boot to only flex forward. This one directional flex motion is the main reason in which the Valde Pro’s has the ability to add power to shots. The soleplate of the Reebok Valde football boots have a carbon fiber insert to give added strength and flexibility, and are available in both firm and soft ground sole plates.
-Upper
There is ballistic nylon lining material to rubber is bonded underneath the Kangaroo leather upperof the cleat. This structure has the same purpose as the outsole of the cleat - The purpose to add power. This part of the Power unit is the Strike Zone. The Strike Zone is made from various materials including nylon, and is designed to deliver a more powerful and accurate shot whilst enhancing touch and control.
