The Predators Turned Indoor?

Adidas. One of the biggest sporting goods companies in the world. They create performance clothes, and design soccer cleats. However, they’ve recently begun transforming their cleats into indoor shoes. As you probably know, the Adidas’ Predators are the cornerstone of the Adidas organization. They’ve developed overtime, starting with Adi Dassler, ending to the present time. However, I’m not talking about the Predator cleats in this post, but the Predator indoors. They look exactly the same as the cleat version of themselves, (except without the cleats) yet there’s also significant difference between the two of them, both internally, and externally. However, I’m not going to discuss that right now, but I am going to review the Adidas Predator indoor shoe. Here’s my intake on the indoor shoe, after wearing it frequently as a casual shoe over a six month span-

I’m going to shake it up a bit today by starting out with the cons of the shoe-

  • Comfort- It might be that all indoor soccer shoes have a lack of comfort, but while sporting Adidas’ shoes, I felt no comfort whatsoever. The shoe is built narrowly which cramped my foot up, and I had the Predator indoors with the tongue below the laces, which dug into the tops of my feet.
  • Smell- I’ve never mentioned this in any of my reviews, but I felt a need to in this particular review. I wore the Predator Absolado as my casual shoes for half a year, but boy, did they stink! Every time I’d take them off, a putrid smell would rise off my feet, and someone would scream at me to put them back on. I believe they made my feet smell the way they did, because Climacool wasn’t integrated into the shoe.

Switching to the pros now-

  • Look-These shoes are sleek and modern. Passerbys would often comment on my shoes, and wish that they had a pair. Adidas did very well on the look of these indoors.
  • Weight- Compared to most casual shoes, these were like a feather. I really would not have known I had shoes on, had it not been for the discomfort. They are so weightless.
  • Amphibious“- I know the term amphibious means capable of living on both land and water, but the Absolados remind me of being amphibious. They worked just fine for me both on a casual and a competitive basis.

I would recommend this shoe without hesitation, if it were meant only as a shoe to play indoor matches in, but I would have to say, go look for another shoe if the Predator is meant for casual.

Overall-Mediocre Shoe
