The Out of Earth Mercurial Alpha Lite Shinguards

As Nike and Adidas have been working hours and hours, to create new innovative equipment, that will out do the other brand’s line of sporting goods, there have been very good products to hit the market. With cleats, shinguards, balls, and all manner of equipment, Nike just released their newest shinguards, the Nike Mercurial Alpha Lite, and boast that these are the lightest, yet most durable shinguards you can possibly buy. So here’s my intake on Nike’s shinguards.

  • These shinguards are very strong considering the lightweight shinguards that sport the NIKE Dri-FITtechnology. We tested them out, and you cannot feel a thing ranging from moderate, to sturdy kicks.
  • The Mercurial Lite’s come with Nike Drifit shinguard sleeves which hold the shinguards in place. The sleeves are comfortable, and do not limit movement at all.

That was the goood side, now to the bad.

  • They don’t fit snugly onto the shin, making them seem unnatural compared to other shinguards.
  • Although this could be either good or bad, the shinguards do not come with ankle guards, leaving the ankles exposed and unprotected.

All in all, durable and lightweight, which create an ideal shinguard for the soccer player.
